VinoGlo Poem

When Charlie retired the following poem was written by a friend about his new recreation "VinoGlo".

The VinoGlo.

In the year of two thousand two,
An Osage Indian wondered what to do.
He had found a horseshoe out in the plains,
And he knew good-luck could bring him fame.
He had sold his Texaco station on I-35,
He knew retirement could keep him alive,
But hunting and fishing were seasonal sports,
So he had to keep busy so he wouldn't come up short (of funds, that it!)
He had been to Italy many a time,
And enjoyed the villa and lots of fine wine.
If he could make a holder from this old horse-shoe,
He could put favorite bottles with wicks in too.
For Oklahoma evenings on the patio,
The bottle wouldn't tip, if the high winds did blow.
The globe would protect the flame on the wick,
And all of a sudden, he knew his idea was "slick!!"
So Charlie, my fiend, in the year "0-2"
Now has a plan of something to do (for fun and funds, that is!)
